The Woman

When I saw her-
standing in the corner,
beside the open window;
when a genteel wave of air-
brushed the haircurl,
off her face :
My Heart Ached for Hers

When I saw her-
eyes brimming with tears,
absorbing the view;
when a soft gust of wind-
led her to caress Herself,
as she stood quivering :
My Heart Skipped a Beat for Hers

When she turned-
she found me standing,
my reverential gaze fixed upon her;
she opened her arms-
inviting me for an embrace,
I ran to her and she held me unto her bosom :
I Heard Her Heart Cry for Mine

Life that she gave birth to-
the respected performance,
on the stage called life;
When her estrangement -
gave in to the devoted affection,
I witnessed what I shouldn't have :
I saw the Voracious Tentacles of Death

She ran, she tried to hide-
she fought a lost battle,
She clung to her life ;
Nails digging deep in-
She breathed a lost song,
Putting me to sleep:
I Heard her Whimper for My Solitude

Now when-

I reflect on the memories,

which I treasure;

Still remaining tender-

I see her laughing off her pain,

As I stand and gaze at the distant star:

My Heart Pray for Hers
