The Unrequited Love: A Journey of Strength and Hope

There once was a woman, fair and bright,

With eyes that shone and a heart so warm,

She fell in love, with all her might,

But her love was not returned, so calm.

She longed for his touch, with every beat,

And burned for his love, day and night.

She hoped that he would make her complete,

And that together, their love would take flight.

But still, he was distant and cold,

And she felt her heart begin to ache.

She wished for just a word, so bold,

To show her that her love he'd take.

She pleaded and she prayed, with all her might,

For just a chance, to hold him tight.

But still, he stood, distant and aloof,

And she was left, with a broken heart so rough.

So she learned to live, without his love,

And though it hurt, she learned to rise above.

For in her soul, she held a flame,

That burned with hope, and would never wane.
